Connect-2-Change Counseling (C-2-C) is a couples, family and individual-based practice committed to facilitating positive change thru tried and proven therapy approaches. Such interventions involve relational and/or clinical counseling including cognitive behavioral therapy (C-B-T) as well as evidence-based couples counseling.
On a more personal note, therapy is focused on meeting clients where they are at; establishing clear, collaborative treatment goals with specific results in mind. C-2-C is dedicated to improving quality of life through client-centered therapy. Don continues to provide in-person sessions having done so throughout the COVID-19 epidemic .
Don is an Independent-Marriage-and-Family Therapist (IMFT). He has a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling/ Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va.. Don has been independently licensed since January, 2017 preceded by a two-year engagement as a community-based counselor with Ohioguidestone in Columbus, Ohio. Formal education also includes a Master of Divinity Degree from Tennesseee Temple Theological Seminary.
Additional training includes: Trained EMDR practitioner; Certified Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy; certification in, "Advanced Treatment of Depression and Mood Disorders"- Institute of Certified Depression Treatment Professionals; Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Institute of Certified Anxiety Treatment Professionals; as well as completion of LEVEL 1 Training in" Gottman Method Couples Therapy/Bridging the Couple Chasm."
